Former Chengdu football association official stands trial for embezzlement, bribery

WUHAN, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) — Liu Gang, former full-time vice chairman of the Chengdu Football Association, on Monday stood trial on charges of embezzlement and bribery.
The case was heard by a court in the county of Tongcheng in central China’s Hubei Province.
Liu is also the former head of the Chengdu Event Operation Center. ■
